Recently Cantina di Vicobarone has been recognized with an important award that enhances the work done and the quality productions. Mundus Vini, the international award promoted by the German magazine Meininger, has delivered a silver medal to Cantina di Vicobarone for its DOC Colli Piacentini Malvasia Frizzante, produced from 100% Malvasia di Candia Aromatica grapes that grow at 250 meters height hills in the wonderful area where the foundations of the historic company are set.
Cantina di Vicobarone, founded in 1960 in Vicobarone di Ziano Piacentino (Emilia Romagna), in the heart of Val Tidone, has cultivated its roots in an area that too often is underestimated, but which in recent years has followed a path of rebirth, proving to the world that the high quality “dress" can be worn by the DOC Colli Piacentini.
Barbera, Bonarda, Malvasia and Ortrugo are the main varieties present on the 700 hectares of the winery's vineyards, which make up the great wine richness. A company that creates value for the territory, getting in touch with its customers through a communication that tells the hard work in the vineyard and the love for each bunch harvested. A sustainable production characterized by absolute quality and respect for the cultivated land.
